FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Swamp Records to Release New P.I.C Album:
New York, NY - July 6, 2005 - Japanese hip-hop label, Swamp Records, will release a 14-track album by New York City-based band, P.I.C (www.picscape.com). The CD, titled "Brooklyn Incident," is a Swamp Records release exclusively for the Japanese market. "Brooklyn Incident" contains tracks from P.I.C's independent releases, "hiphopunkfunkmamboska" (2000) and "Sexy Picnic" (2003) both from Riding Mower Records, Inc. (www.ridingmowerrecords.com) "Brooklyn Incident" also features a brand new song called "Got Me Like" and will be distributed by Polystar Co. Ltd. of Japan.

About P.I.C:
Originally conceived for a NYU film school mockumentary, P.I.C have evolved into a charismatic, genuinely funny, and soulful collective that play a robust and intelligent blend of hip-hop, Latin rhythms, funk and ska, all driven by a punk-rock do-it-yourself ethic. They have entertained, offended, and charmed audiences in New York City and around the world with their albums, "hiphopunkfunkmamboska" and "Sexy Picnic," both College Music Journal (CMJ) chart-toppers in the U.S and Canada. In 2002, P.I.C was the house band for Comedy Central's stand-up comic showcase "Premium Blend," sharing the stage with Wanda Sykes and performing P.I.C's own tunes, including "hiphopunkfunkmamboska," which was adapted as the theme song for "Premium Blend."

About Swamp Records:
Swamp Records, a division of Seers Co., Ltd. was founded to introduce and promote underground hip-hop/breakbeat artists from around the world to Japan. Launched in winter 2004, Swamp Records has quickly made its presence felt on the Japanese hip-hop scene. From its first release "Street Session" by UK/US based underground hip-hop crew Puma Strut to "The First Cut Special Edition" by Dr. Rubberfunk and "United We Stand" by Jaziac Sunflowers/Aquasky, Swamp Records has swiftly established itself as an exceptionally prolific and innovative label in Japan. With the addition of Portishead DJ Andy Smith's Dynamo Productions "The Collection" and P.I.C's "Brooklyn Incident," Swamp Records is already being touted as a major player on the Japanese hip-hop scene.

About Riding Mower Records:
Riding Mower Records is an independent record label founded in 1999 on a notion that music, movies and lawn mowers might save the world. Sounds insane? Well six years later the Earth is still in one piece and the gears at Riding Mower Records are still turning. Riding Mower Records’ music catalog continues to grow with albums from Convertible Jennifers, Shiva Copal and Lovetester. In 2003 the company expanded into feature filmmaking with Steve Mallorca’s "Slow Jam King." (www.slowjamking.com) Clearly, the idea that the confluence of music, movies, and riding mowers is still going strong and the industry is keeping a close eye on what they will do next.

What they're saying about P.I.C:
"[P.I.C's] infectious and intelligent tracks effortlessly make you smile the way Stevie Wonder, Tribe Called Quest, and most nudie bar slow jams only can." - 316productions.com

"After their breakout first album, 'Sexy Picnic' picks up where 'hiphopunkfunkmamboska' left off. It is fun, friendly, and eclectic. It is in the Jurassic Five vein of hip-hop, with jazz and funk thrown into urban rhythms, accompanied by a chorus of MCs in 'ya mamma' style. They break into salsa, punk, funk and rock with delightful results" - mxdwn.com

"No one really tries to make music this funky, this tight with both the bass and the guitar. Which probably explains why the mainstream just can't quite figure these boys out." - Aiding & Abetting
