RICE: Sometime during the early seventies... testing the shock absorbers of a brand new Chevy Malibu... amidst the backwoods of Northern New Jersey...Eric (Rice) Sales Gonzales was conceived.

As a child, Rice would always get his daily dose of the Godfather soundtrack and television shows such as the Magic Garden, Courageous Cat and Minute Mouse, One Day at a Time, Love American Style, and the list goes on. Rice would also spend much of his early years honing his skills as a master Marlon Brando impressionist always entertaining his Aunts and Uncles at family parties. He was the star, and he loved it. His forte was Brando asJor-el (father of Superman a.k.a Kal-el) from Superman the Motion Picture.

Then at the tender age of 5, a freak accident happened which changed his life forever. His voice changed. He couldn't do it anymore. He wasn't the favorite of all his Aunts and Uncles anymore. Every time they asked for Brando, he gave them George Burns. His dreams of battling Rich Little for master impressionist were crushed. What was a child about to start kindergarten to do? Then it came to him in a dream set to a soundtrack by Frank Stallone... how about underground prize fighting?

But that dream soon ended after seeing the 1979 remake of The Champ (starring a very young Ricky Schroder and John Voight). Rice was lost.

After years of searching for something to do, Rice tried grammar school, spelling bees, watching Mario Van Peebles, little league, and even the deadly ways of the ninja all in hopes of finding his true calling... making hollow sounds with his head! Oh the kids loved it! Relatives adored it! Kids imitated it! Girls cheered him on! Life was good again.

That soon wore off, and Rice finally went to college (NYU)... made some friends... studied something pretty practical... started P.I.C with friends... graduated... and is still in search of that one thing... have any ideas? e-mail him at egonzales@ridingmowerrecords.com
