NEW YORK CITY, June 2003--Riding Mower Records has completed a deal with Mia Mind Music and Select-O-Hits Distribution for national distribution of Sexy Picnic, the critically acclaimed new album by Riding Mower Records flagship artist, P.I.C.
New York City-based P.I.C completed Sexy Picnic, their second album, earlier this year. The energetic, fun and often pants-dropping collective is known for its genre-busting blend of music that mixes hip-hop, hardcore punk, Latin rhythms, funk and ska--a mix fondly referred to as "Hiphopunkfunkmamboska". Their unique sound, coupled with their captivating live show, also drew the attention of Comedy Central, which selected P.I.C as house band for the sixth season of Premium Blend, hosted by Wanda Sykes.
The retail street date for Sexy Picnic is June 24, 2003.
The "co-op" deal allows for exclusive distribution of P.I.C's Sexy Picnic in retail stores throughout the United States. Mia Mind Music, Select-O-Hits Distribution and P.I.C are all extremely excited about the venture.
